After receiving some amazing photos of our guests’ experiences at Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef last year, we’ve decided to run the popular Sal Salis Photo Competition again this season.
Situated on the pristine shore of Ningaloo Reef at the northern tip of Western Australia’s Coral Coast, we firmly believe our luxury camp is in the midst of one of the world’s most photogenic locations.
Located in the Cape Range National Park, Sal Salis is a photographer’s dream. There are so many opportunities to encounter the area’s abundant wildlife at our camp and while exploring nearby gorges and the Ningaloo Reef. Contrasting colours of the rust-red outback alongside the turquoise Indian Ocean, sunny days, vibrant sunrises and sunsets, as well as bright starry nights offer excellent photo opportunities for amateur and professional photographers alike.
As usual, our season has started in spectacular fashion with the arrival of whale sharks at Ningaloo Reef. What better experience to capture than your swim with the world’s largest fish on tour with our partner, Live Ningaloo?
Head to our Facebook page to post your photos and videos, tag @Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef and include #SalSalisPhotoComp and #SalSalisNingalooReef hashtags. Or post your content on Instagram, with the aforementioned hashtags. If you are not on social media, please email your photos and videos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don’t forget to ask our camp manager, Paul Bester for photography tips while you’re here, as he is a very talented photographer and is only too happy to help.
We look forward to receiving competition entries, highlights of which will feature on our social channels.
A finalist image will be selected by our team each month, and the winning photo will be selected out of the eight finalist images. The winner will be announced in November, so please remember to like our Facebook page and follow us on Instagram to see competition highlights and updates.
