Sal Salis is located on the North West Cape of Western Australia, nestled between the twin World Heritage Areas of Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park. It’s the only accommodation in the Cape Range National Park and the closest to Ningaloo Reef.
Sal Salis is an hour’s drive (70kms) from Exmouth, with return transfers included in your stay.
Sal Salis offers eco-luxury off-grid glamping in safari-style tents, each fitted with an en suite bathroom and private deck with a hammock.
With Sal Salis just steps from the Ningaloo Reef, there’s no single ‘best’ time to visit. Nature sets the rhythm here, and each part of the season brings its own magic – from whale sharks typically arriving in autumn and staying through to spring, to humpback whales making their migration along the coast during winter and spring. Turtles are seen year-round, with larger numbers observed during nesting and hatching season from October through to March.
The beginning and end of season offer warmer days, while mid-year brings cooler temperatures -though in northern Western Australia, it’s still beautifully mild for swimming and soaking up the sun.
As with all wildlife, timings may vary – but there’s always something remarkable to experience here, all year round.
