Nature sets the rhythm here, and each part of the season brings its own magic – from whale sharks typically arriving in autumn and staying through to spring, to humpback whales making their migration along the coast during winter and spring. Turtles are seen year-round, with larger numbers observed during nesting and hatching season from October through to March.

The beginning and end of season offer warmer days, while mid-year brings cooler temperatures -though in northern Western Australia, it’s still beautifully mild for swimming and soaking up the sun.

As with all wildlife, timings may vary – but there’s always something remarkable to experience here, all year round.
