All rates are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax)

Minimum Stay

Family Policy

Please note that the camp is not suitable for children under the age of 5 years.
Maximum capacity per Wilderness Tent is 2 adults & 1 child per tent. Children’s bedding will be in deluxe swags – comfortable canvas bedrolls with top quality mattresses and bed linen.


Sal Salis is open from 15 March 2019 to 31 October 2019
Whale Shark tours are available from mid-March to 31 July
Humpback Whale tours are available from 01 August to 31 October

Pet and Wildlife Policy

Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef does not permit pets on the property.
Guests staying at Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef are not permitted to feed the wildlife.


Sal Salis Nightly Rates
Wilderness Tent accommodation with eco-friendly en suite bathroom, all meals and all beverages from a select open bar, National Park fees & permits, unlimited use of snorkel equipment as well as daily guided wilderness activities which may include guided snorkels and gorge walks in the Cape Range National Park.

Whale Shark & Humpback Whale Swims
Sal Salis will be happy to arrange your Whale Shark swim tour (mid-March to 31 July) or your Humpback Whale swim tour. These are at additional cost to your stay at Sal Salis.  Please contact us for details.

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in is from 2.00pm and check-out is 11.00am. Tents required for check-in prior to 2.00pm must be pre-booked from the day earlier to guarantee availability. If you are arriving earlier, you are welcome to make use of the facilities and your luggage will be stored until your tent becomes available. Please do advise us of an earlier arrival plan so that we can arrange lunch for you.

 Deposits and Payments

A deposit of 20% is required within 7 days of making a reservation. Full payment must be made 30 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 30 days, payment must be made within 48 hours of booking.

Cancellation Policy

No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival or any unused services or unused nights due to flight and / or weather disruption. As a small boutique property operating over a short season, our business depends on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in empty rooms due to booking lead times and limited air capacity.
For travel:  mid-March to 31 May & 01 August to 31 October
Cancel outside 30 days prior to arrival – all monies will be refunded less any credit card fees & a $50 administration fee
Cancel inside 30 days prior to arrival – full monies will be forfeited
For travel: 01 June to 31 July
Cancel outside 45 days prior to arrival – all monies will be refunded less any credit card fees & a $50 administration fee
Cancel inside 45 days prior to arrival – full monies will be forfeited

Travel Insurance

Unforeseen circumstances may result in you having to change your plans or even cancel at the last moment. To protect non-refundable deposits and payments we strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. This is available from travel agents, some health care and credit card companies and via various websites.

We STRONGLY recommend that all guests obtain travel insurance including a cancellation policy and emergency medical care. Please be sure to consider pre-existing medical condition clauses, valuable items cover etc to ensure that the policy is right for you.


From time to time as part of our marketing strategy we will offer specials and discounts.   Unfortunately these will not apply to existing bookings.   Whilst we apologise for any disappointment caused we do liken it to airfares and other goods which may go on sale after you have purchased them.

Force Majeure

‘Force Majeure’ means (without restriction) any event that Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure Lape Pty Ltd will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.

IMPORTANT: No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight / weather disruption.  We recommend that you protect yourself with travel insurance.

Third Party Arrangements

If you have booked some of your flights directly with the airline or travel agency, please be sure to advise us of any flight changes (timings, numbers etc.) and please be sure to check that your final itinerary has the details correctly noted. Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef will not be responsible for transfers, accommodation, tour planning or for any travel arrangements that are effected by flights not booked and ticketed by our office. Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef do not take responsibility for any third party services which are delayed due to reasons beyond our control.
