All rates are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax)

Everyday Rates: Minimum 2 night stay
6 Month Advance Purchase: Minimum 3 night stay
Please note that the camp is not suitable for children under the age of 5 years.
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied overnight in a tent by an adult.
Maximum capacity per Wilderness Tent is 2 adults & 1 child. Children’s bedding is in a deluxe swag – comfortable canvas bedrolls with top quality mattresses and bed linen.
Sal Salis is open from 16 March to 31 October each year.
Whale Shark tours are run by local operators and are available mid-March to 31 July.
Humpback Whale tours are run by local operators and are available 1 August to 31 October.
The camp is closed between 1 November and 15 March each year.
Pets and Wildlife Policy
Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef does not permit pets on the property.
Guests staying at Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef are also not permitted to feed the wildlife.
Assistance animals are permitted in Cape Range National Park provided they are certified as a trained assistance animal.
The nightly rate includes all meals, prepared by an inhouse chef, and an assortment of alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks from a select open bar.
Sal Salis provides the use of non-motorised water sports equipment including kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, snorkelling equipment, and wetsuits.
Sal Salis staff host daily guided activities such as walks in Cape Range National Park, reef snorkelling tours, kayaking excursions and more.
***Please note: activities may vary day to day, are not bookable in advance and are seasonal and subject to weather conditions and tides.
Guest National Park fees are included however additional fees apply for guests who wish to self-drive. These fees are payable locally when entering Cape Range National Park.
Whale Shark & Humpback Whale Swims
Sal Salis reservations staff can arrange additional touring to complement your stay. Whale Shark swims/tours (mid-March to 31 July) or Humpback Whale swims/tours (1 August to 31 October) are additional cost and may have booking and payment terms that fall outside the general terms and conditions of Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef. Additional terms and conditions will be outlined at the time of booking. Please contact us for details.
Scenic Flights and Weight Restrictions
Scenic flights and transfers have luggage weight restrictions of 15 kgs per passenger and must be packed in soft bags in order to fit in the aircraft luggage compartments.
Sal Salis can facilitate the transfer of additional luggage at a cost. Both scenic flights and luggage can be booked through Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef reservations.
Transfers are not included in the nightly accommodation rates and must be pre-booked.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is 11:00. Tents required for check-in prior to 14:00 are not guaranteed. If early arrival is required the Sal Salis reservations team must be advised the day prior to ensure you can make use of the facilities and luggage can be stored until your tent becomes available. Please also advise if you will require lunch prior to your check-in time and our staff will do their best to accommodate.
Payment Terms & Conditions
For bookings of 1-4 tents: a deposit of 20% is required within 7 days of booking.
For groups bookings (5+ tents): a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required within 7 days of booking.
Advance Purchase bookings must be made a minimum of six months prior to the travel date. Full payment is required within 7 days of
booking. Subject to availability – blackout dates apply.
Final payment of the balance
For bookings of 1-4 tents: the full balance will be due 30 days prior to arrival.
For group bookings (5+ tents): the full balance will be due 60 days prior to arrival.
Advance Purchase bookings must be made a minimum of six months prior to the travel date. Full payment is required within 7 days of booking. Subject to availability – blackout dates apply.
Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef does not own, operate or control third party suppliers of services. Bookings including third party suppliers may incur additional conditions such as payment and cancellation terms that fall outside the general terms and conditions of Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef. Additional terms and conditions will be outlined at the time of booking.
Third party package components such as, but not limited to, whale shark touring and scenic transfers may not be confirmed immediately at the time of booking and may be placed on request until confirmation is obtained from the supplier.
Cancellation Terms & Conditions
Cancellation terms, bookings for 1-4 Tents
Over 60 days: Full refund of all amounts paid less $100 service fee
30 – 60 days prior to arrival: Loss of 20% deposit
Under 30 days of arrival: 100% cancellation fees apply
Cancellation terms, bookings for 5+ Tents
Over 60 days: 30% cancellation fees apply
45 – 60 days prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fees apply
Under 45 days of arrival: 100% cancellation fees apply
Cancellation terms, Advance Purchase bookings
Under 7 days of booking: Full refund of amounts paid
After 7 days of booking: 100% cancellation fees apply
*** No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival or any unused services or unused nights due to flight and/or weather disruption.
Rates are subject to change at any time, in which case you will be notified in writing.
Unforeseen circumstances may result in you having to change your plans or even cancel at the last moment.
We strongly recommend all guests obtain travel insurance, including cancellation policy and emergency medical care. Please be sure to consider pre-existing medical condition clauses, valuable items cover etc to ensure that the policy is right for you. Travel insurance can be purchased through Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef reservations or your preferred travel agent.
From time to time, Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef will offer specials and discounts. These will not apply to existing bookings. These promotions may have different Terms and Conditions or limited availability to those outlined in this document.
‘Force Majeure’ means (without restriction) any event that Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force
Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure, Journey Beyond Ningaloo Pty Ltd will not accept liability and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.
Third Party Arrangements
If your itinerary includes flights, or third-party arrangements booked directly through an airline or travel agency, please be sure to advise reservations staff of details along with any changes (timings, numbers etc.) that may occur prior to arrival. Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef is not responsible for transfers, accommodation, tour planning or any travel arrangements that are not booked through our reservations team. Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef do not take responsibility for any third-party services which are delayed due to reasons beyond our control.
